A girl with no hands just won a national handwriting contest

7 year old Anaya Ellick is a first grader at Greenbrier Academy in Virginia is being praised as an inspiration as she was born with no hands, doesn’t use prosthetics, and managed to win a national handwriting competition in the United States.

The seven-year-old was born with no hands, and she doesn’t use prosthetics.

Yet that did not stop her winning a national handwriting competition in the US.

When she writes, she holds the pencil between her arms and also stands over the desk in order to get the best angle.

Virginia first grader Anaya Ellick, 7, has such good handwriting, she beat out 50 other youngsters from around the country to win a national handwriting contest. If that's not impressive enough, Little Anaya was born without hands.

“Anaya is a remarkable young lady. She does not let anything get in the way of doing what she has set out to do.” Her principal, Tracy Cox, told CNN.

Her mother, Bianca Middleton, stated: “She ties her shoes. She gets dressed by herself. She doesn’t really need any assistance to do anything.”
