Matt Botten was at Gatwick Airport when he was faced with paying extra to check in his bad for his flight to Reykjavik. So to avoid this $65 fee, he decided on the spot to empty his bag and put on all of his clothes.
As of a result of his stunt to apply all his extra shirts, pants, and shoes, the 32 year old ended up being asked extra questions when in the security line, but he somehow managed to get through, and with his Girlfriend, Abigail White.
“We’re going to Iceland baby!” he wrote on Facebook.
“And how to do it in a financially frugal manner, without having to stump up forty five bloody quid for a hold bag? Simply by wearing EVERYTHING I OWN.”
Even though this may have worked this once, James McElvar from the band Rewind decided to do the same for his flight to Glasgow, but sadly did not succeed, as he ended up collapsing from heat exhaustion.
