Snapchat Reveals Very Own Built-In Camera Sunglasses

Snapchat are making sunglasses with built-in camera and they're coming soon

Not only are these shades a total throwback to the 1980s Brat Pack generation, they can film your every move – but only ten seconds at a time.

The device, called Spectacles (not too original), will hit the shelves later this year for £100 a pair.

This is the start of Snapchat’s attempt to branch out beyond it’s picture messaging app.

And as part of this, the company is also re-branding itself to Snap, Inc.

Snapchat just launched their own sunglasses with tiny camera built in

Snapchat’s 26-year-old founder, Evan Spiegel, told the Wall Street Journal he used the device on a holiday to California.

He said: ‘We were walking through the woods, stepping over logs, looking up at the beautiful trees.

‘And when I got the footage back and watched it, I could see my own memory, through my own eyes – it was unbelievable.

“It’s one thing to see images of an experience you had, but it’s another thing to have an experience of the experience. It was the closest I’d ever come to feeling like I was there again.”
